She’s passionate about the environment and of course, dogs.

Why I am in LBB

I wanted to use my teaching skills for something more meaningful than teaching people how to do business with Anglophones. When I saw the opportunity to teach English to refugees I knew that it was a small way that I could help in the refugee crisis so I volunteered. It’s impossible to comprehend everything that these refugees have gone through and are going through but one thing I do understand is the struggle to live in a foreign country when you can’t speak the language. If I can help them with English then it’s one less thing for them to worry about and hopefully it can allow them to feel more settled in their new country. Teaching with LBB has been a wonderful experience in that I am teaching but I am also learning so much myself.
