Language Beyond Borders has been featured in Open Canada, a Canadian digital publication on foreign policy and international affairs.
It is a realistic and honest look at the Canadian resettlement programmes, the inspiring eagerness of Canadian citizens to welcome more refugees, and the long, difficult wait of the latter.
The author, Gareth Chantler has also worked with us in supporting some of those destined for Canada with English language lessons and so knows very well the work we do.
A big thank you goes to Gareth for mentioning LBB and for raising awareness of the situation of refugees and the resettlement process among the general public. Few people know how long the whole process takes and how difficult it can be for those people left waiting and jumping through the hoops of the process.
Canada is doing great work though, in particular the Canadian public, in welcoming those who have suffered conflict or persecution and assisting them in building a new life for themselves.
